A good graphics card for Blockland

My step brother moved in awhile ago, and he has a crappy HP Pavilion (a1644x to be exact) He keeps using the computer that I use to play blockland because "his is too crappy". I got tired of this so I recently ordered some RAM for him at crucial.com and installed it awhile ago. It runs much faster now (it now has 3GB which is plenty) for everyday use, but not for any 3D crap he gets into.

His VGA cable that is hooked up from his monitor to his computer is directly attached to the motherboard and I have no idea what that is called. He had no graphics card in its slot so I tried identifying it the best I could.

Slot type: PCI-E x16 (v2.0?)
The card I think that will work

It's low profile and has 1GB of RAM (+520 core clock), do you think that's suitable for running Blockland at medium-low graphics options and short draw distance? I'm not even sure if it would fit into the slot/something horrible would happen.

If you have any cards that you think would make it run better/will defiantly work, try to keep it below $50 because I'm not Bill Gates.

What's your CPU like? You don't want bottlenecking.

Well what type and brand?
ane bottlenecking is when something is to good so it outweighs the other part in comparison so you dont get as much performance

alsonoedit: looking at the gpu selected it doesnt look like youd get it unless your cpu was really good or realpy bad

pretty much any modern gpu can run blockland, is there anything else you want to play?

Oh jeez, I meant to say the HP pavilion a1642x. I looked up the specs on google since I'm not at my fathers house and it says it has a Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (C) DC 1.86 GHz

Minecraft is ideal, but at high fog.
