whine

They talked about mod support and I think they said they'd have it possible for people to mod with the 360 version.

what's with a few people saying MC is so horrible and worthless?
I understand that you're all allowed your opinions, but honestly I think you're just trying to be contrary
have you played the game?

Oh I love the game and I bought I bought it when only 550 other people had bought it.

The thing is though is Minecraft is only really worth $10 you can forget around in it but it really is just a bunch of ideas smeared into a buggy mess I mean monsters will walk into walls/doors and shoot right into the loving ceiling and the game still has that weird lighting bug.

well, I guess that's what you get for making a game like Minecraft in Java

which reminds me
why the forget haven't they made/bought another engine for the game?
they can damn well afford it if more than 5 million loving people have paid for the game

I don't. I hate XBox and Minecraft :( Sorry its just not my thing.

i played with you earlier owo

Why can't you be a normal person and play it on a computer?
Like it's meant for.

I'd imagine that they've built so much on it so far that it wouldn't quite be worth it to create or use a new engine and port it across.
That would take some time to make it the same (even if it turned out better), and since there is only Jens who is working on minecraft fully at the moment, he would have to stop developing newer versions for it at the moment, which I don't think he wants to do.
I find the game can get stale without new stuff in it after a long time, which is why I tend to either want to find mods (although they never work for me) or I have to play online.

A new engine would be awesome and no doubt less glitchy but I don't think they have the man-power for an operation like that right now and it would take them away from adding on to the game.
And lets face it. It's hardly complete right now. Notch left it in a reasonably stuff place when he declared it finished and that he was done with it.

Xbox version is alright, but it obviously pales in comparison to the PC version.
But why wouldn't it?
I don't think though that just because it is behind the PC version in progress it means that it is not worthwhile.
It's fun to play with people on the same screen (although it's a little bit awkward when all in-game menus get tiny and you can hardly tell what things are in your inventory screens...).

I'll look forward to it moving forward.
They were always going to be far behind, considering they had to port it over for Xbox Compatibility and they had only one person working on it too...
They chose a reasonably alright place for it for the meantime.

Although, admittedly, I am rather annoyed that the map doesn't generate for ever, or even for a remarkably long distance.
You get the area equal to filling in one in-game map item.
And you can't walk outside the boundaries of that map. And the Nether is pretty poor. Very tiny and at this moment, no purpose to even entering it, beyond just wanting to gather some glowstone I suppose.

This has nothing to do with it being written in Java. They simply implemented physics poorly.

Because that would mean that they would have to remake the game from scratch.

the only reason i bought minecraft was because the controls are solid and i can easily play online with my friends that are too stupid to operate a computer properly.
