Why isn't there a Blockland convention of some sort?

Virginia or something?
I doubt people would fly over the country to come to a Blockland convention.
Conventions are mainly for games with millions of players, because at least a few thousand would show up.

Yeah totally this.
Apart from a few meatheads here most of the forum don't have balls as big as their e-peen. Even so I'd like to think even a community like this would be smart enough not to throw fists if it did happen.
I think the issue about a convention was discussed before and it landed three good points:
- Most of the community is 8 - 14 years of age, I don't see those people setting up stalls or talks for their mods haha. We don't even have enough clans that last more than a week to make this worthwhile.
- We have a big international community, and even the American players would have trouble going state to state to get there; wouldn't be worth it financially
- What would be at this convention? There is nothing to show about the game that can't just be posted online. What, everyone goes there just to stare at Badspot and build together? Hurp no.
Its a waste of time and money. An indie game like Blockland has no reason to have a convention. I can't think of a single decent thing a convention could offer that'd be worth the time, money, and effort.

Mr. Jelly:
Minecraft: 5,895,622 and counting
Blockland: 36,007
Roblox: Several million and counting
See the difference, OP?

Divide bl's population by 1.32^2 and that's the actual population.
