There are multiple instances where I've seen kids on here complain about how they can't buy stuff on Steam because they have no credit/debit account to use to buy online, and how they only have cash.
This allows people to easily buy stuff on Steam with CASH. AKA, Federal reserve notes. AKA, non-electronic money.

yes, but aren't Gamestop and Steam like, direct competition?
fred da kiko:
kid >HEY DAD CNA BROW SUM MUNY TO BUY STUF ON STEAM?
as compared to
kid > HEY DAD CNU TKE ME TO DE GAMSTOP AN BUY ME A GEM CRAD FOR STEAM?
it's still counter intuitive because these people are lazy, and they will eventually get credit. it's the microsoft point principle, once you realize you can just buy dlc with microsoft points you throw the idea of dlc cards out of the window.

i can't tell you how many times my mom won't pay for things on the internet because of fear her credit card number will get hacked. this is pretty much to combat said thing
i just think it's silly because Gamestop is promoting their direct competition.
fred da kiko:
your mom is stupid, my dad knows how to go "CREDIT CARD, DELETE EVERYTHING. ROLL BACK THOSE PURCHASES, THIS CARD IS COMPROMISED!"
