imagine my dad is actually screaming this at the credit card company like a captain would to the crew of a sinking ship.
your mom is stupid because she's worried about reputable sites stealing card info when any unusual purchases are noted by the card company. if you suspect your card is stolen you can simply freeze it and see what the hell is going on.

i'm not trying to make the argument my mom is stupid, i'm saying there's plenty of people who would want a proxy purchasing system instead of going through their mom or dad.
