as a text editor, I use sublime, and I personally recommend it, but it isn't really paid. it's one of those winrar style "evaluation" systems. just a heads up.

there are some (probably more helpful) tutorials on this page. i recommend this one if you're just starting out, though.

you could also have a good idea of how lua works before attempting to learn love, though. there's a guide for that too.

i'm pretty sure there's an interactive tutorial for it somewhere, though.
