It is an OPINION that dogs are better than cats.
There is never any doubt whether something is a fact or an opinion, because a fact is always true regardless of location or time (unless specifically stated otherwise, such as "there is a cat on my bed (location) right now (time).")

You didn't even give that statement time, you just asumed me a idiot and moved on, opinions do become facts if you get enough people to believe them, then people prove you wrong and they take with the other side's opinion which soon becomes a fact.
