The drama section allowed for people to put all their stupid stuff in one place, rather than General/Off-topic like they always did before it was created. I thought it wasn't a good idea at one point, but then I remembered people would post stupid stuff in other sections like they used to. Let the dumbasses dwell in that forum and get on with life.
As for the actual question, does it change people's moods? Of course it does. I've seen cool guys become douchebags (albeit hilarious ones) in the drama section time and time again.
