Toggle Sneak mod.
Also, I've heard there's a glitch that if you're sneaking when someone comes into range, they can still see your name until you stop and start sneaking again.

I was able to create a massive underground labyrinth at the start and make my way to the final 6. I found some pools of lava and started working on creating a nether portal, only to discover that creating obsidian is disabled. >:( Then I had to go afk and when I got back I found I had been slaughtered.
