not many champions counter darius, maybe shen though if he can just sheild all of the damage
and lux is fun to play, kat counter picked me and i was going 0/2/0, then had a 17 killing spree from then on without anybody shutting me down :D
hanging in the back of fights and putting the light orb on people, snaring, and ulting is rather fun

I don't play top often but the 4 times I've laned against Darius I beat him with Riven everytime. Faceroll keyboard while clicking on him and you win

No, I think people would autoattack it until it reaches around 5% health, THEN wait.

Mordekaiser works well, siphon wave before he tries to pull you then mace him for damage.
