Spirit of the Lizard Elder: 22 damage a second for 3 seconds (66 damage, resetting every hit, only from laser, power transfer, and auto attacks, assuming you're level 18). 50 attack damage which you're never scaling with any attack speed, criticals, or sheen/gauntlet/triforce. 2600 gold.
Blasting Wand: 76 instant damage, 8.4 damage over time with red augment, 67.2 damage over time with ult. 860 gold.
Hextech Gunblade: 45 attack damage, 10% lifesteal, for those auto attacks you shouldn't be doing.
So in total, 65 ability power and 20% spell vamp, plus a 2 second slow that you don't need because of W. 3400 gold.
Will of the Ancients: 80 ability power (up to 200 if you count that this is a team game), 20% spell vamp (up to 100%, and yes, this does benefit pure AD champs). 2500 gold.
Not only are the alternatives better than the things you're using, but they're also a lot cheaper.
I'm not saying that Spirit of the Elder Lizard and Hextech Gunblade are bad items. They're just not worth investing in for Victor when you could be getting items that benefit his entire skillset, and even your team in the end, and save you on money.
If words don't work, I'm fine with a friendly match especially since mid lane is my favorite lane.

Looks good, though the Hydra woudn't be my first choice. I'd go for a MercScim honestly.

Hydra and Iceborn synergyze nicely with talon's Q, and it's active is amazing with his whole combo.
Silence -> W -> Ult -> Q -> Hydra
Ult THEN Q to instantly apply the max damage of talon's ult.
I've found hydra useful for taking down those sneaky bastards with blinks (flash, shaco, ezreal, leblanc) if they survive the initial damage with a few hitpoints remaining.
Besides, its really nice to have (basically) another ability.
I really, REALLY hope they don't nerf its cooldown. Its so perfect with talon.
