Individuality and individual skill are completely different. If you plan on getting to the point where team skill matters without being hopeless behind, then each of your teammates better have some individual skill.

In high level play most people are cool. In ARAM most people are cool. In co-op everyone is cool unless you manage to lose. But for the most part, you need thick skin or just to be awesome.
