This game seems really confusing the way you guys are talking about it. Should I get into it?
Is it easy to get into?

It's really fun to play with other people. I would suggest getting a couple of buddies together and making a skype/teamspeak/whatever call and playing a couple games together. It might take you a while to get into, but once you get into league, you'll probably love it. I can teach you the ropes if you want, I'm not claiming to be good by any means, but I know enough to get you started.

I can play every role, so I can teach you most anything.

I wouldn't get into it, it sucked my life away. 3000+ games which equate to ~40 x 3000+ minutes

Armor is always useful.
1 armor is worth about 20-25 hp depending. Some champions have things like health scaling, and health is useful against both physical and magical, as well as true damage.

Running a hybrid Trist loadout works extremely well too...
