"Well alright." I say as I turn around and jump back into the truck

"Well America's situation is slowly spreading. We could only hope what I heard was true... Maybe in the morning they'll get here. They need to get proper animals and stuff."
"Been here maybe a month and there's never been such a thing."

"This IS America we're talking about... I hope they have a dog... Wish I was a dog..."

I yell from inside the truck, "We'll treat ya like a dog if you want!"

"Is that a bondage joke?"

I jolt awake, muttering something about sleep, and some rather vulgar terms in Chinese.

"Only if you're into that sort of thing..." I joke, "But no."

What the forget is going on.

I walk to the truck and get in the back. I mutter something and begin sobbing quietly.

"Here, man. Just hop in the back of the truck. We'll take you in. Just be gentle, we have a lady whos a bit on edge."

"What about me? I certainly didn't want Max dead!" I cry, before realizing my slip and covering my mouth.

"Yep." I say as I do as told. "Max? I knew a kid named Max."

Like predicted, the military had just set off with their load of animals. "You sure this is a good idea?" one man asks another. "We'll find a clear area and drop them off, they'll eventually make their own ecosystem." another man says. "Do you have any idea what you're talking about?" the first man asks. "No, but as long as Kowalski is with the others, they'll eventually make Earth without humans where we're going." the second man answers. "Is that a good thing?" the first man asks. "I have no idea..." the second man says.

I respond by adjusting my position into something more comfortable, and muttering, "Neither did I..."
