"I really, really hope I didn't detect a bit of pleasure in there," I say, frowning. I remove fourth and fifth without incident, then come to the one lodged in his abdomen. I poke gently at the bullet hole, being sure not to actually stick my finger in it, then said, "Did you get your appendix removed?"
