Boy I'm glad I left to fend for myself and got his nifty sniper.
I turn, satisfied when two crazies come up the stairs, the first I shoot through the chest, but now I have no ammo.
I turn to fight the other in hand-to-hand combat.
A 14-year-old boy with a broken ankle, eight broken ribs and a cut hand against an adult who has super strength and speed who can't feel pain. I like those odds.
"Thanks for taking my knife, woman," I whisper to myself.

I twist and flip it around, the blade barely missing my hand.
