What's with all the 2k purchases

He sold the keys to the site ages ago. He received the money upfront and hence is still making a profit per key sold. Profit is net gain, not the amount of money he gets paid instantly when a key is purchased. This is excluding any sales tax the third party required which may turn out at no profit. How are we still debating about this?
Why do people buy these keys? Because people want to assert their status in the community as an old player. Besides, if you're given the chance to get less discriminated by richards in the community just because of your ID and still pay the same amount, why wouldn't you take the offer?
