leapyear WAS accounted for. WE were the ones that translated the date from their calendar to ours. so the date DOES come to 12/21/2012
and the mayans never claimed the world would end. they say they have lived through this cycle at least 3 times already.

Well I understood the point of the topic fine, I see how it's ironic. I was just saying a joke that was 2012 related :/
