I find it incredibly distracting and my performance suffers if I try.

Also I usually listen to slow paced songs so I tend to play nicely.. But break out the serious stuff and you best get running.. Also you better hope "watcha say" and slo mo doesn't start hehehehe.

Depends on the game.
If it's a game that either has such spectacular sound that it can't be missed, or requires constant vigilance (see Skyrim), I won't play music.
