Need some help making a decision.

So I just found out that one of my best friends play WoW. Hes been playing for a bit longer than me, so he has more high level characters. Well, as fate would have it, we both play on different servers/factions. Well, for the past week hes been asking me to level a character on his realm, but I am having a hard time doing so for a really sad reason, I cant stand the look/feel of an Alliance character. Me, having played on Horde since day one am just used to Horde characters and locations.

So im just wondering what I should do. Should I get over the visual and locational differences between horde and alliance, and make a character on his realm?

He did make a character on my realm and faction and got it to level 40.
