The cool thing is Earth is only T1. If you terraform it to T2 or T3 its appearance changes drastically, so evidently its state in the game is the same as reality. Earth isn't the perfect planet in this game, which is a cool thought.

My theory is that earth was T3 and humans wrecked it with wars and stuff, killing themselves off (which is why earth is not colonized by humans). In SPORE's time, earth is on the mend, managing to get itself to T1.

I AM HIGHLY DOUBTFUL. If you bring it back up to T3 it's pink and red or something. If it had dropped from T3 to T1 it would not be the green color you can find it as. You've been disproven, BRO.
