This is the forums.
You make a mod, or are a good scripter, modeler, whatever, your popular (if word gets out)
Then, whatever you post, people will vouch for you and believe it.
If no one knows you,
people assume you don't do stuff, and they will go against everything you say.
Welcome to Blockland.
Not necessarily.
You don't have to be known and do things to be likable.
The first part may be true, but I've seen many cases where a known person was flamed, like a person who wasn't known, as said in your statement.
Lets use me as an example, I've posted some models here and there and have helped out the community, but I doubt I'm that known, even if I've been on the forums for over 3 years, and over 4-5 years if lurking/playing the game before making a forum account counts as well.
I don't see a lot of people going against me and saying hateful things.
You need to do something in order for people to hate you, not just popular you are.
Also, with my post, I wasn't saying the should be proper and always do everything right, but it's simple. Most mature members of the forums known when to start a drama, and when they should man up and be the bigger person to stop arguing and admit they were wrong.
This is not the case however. They kept taking shots at each other and never ending the argument like they should have.
It was a bad drama, he shouldn't have argued with everyone before he stopped it, he could've just said it wasn't a good drama, and regardless of if people flame him for that post or not, he should've just stopped.
