I think it would be useful for the game in many ways:
I find myself wanting to listen to music on YouTube when I build, this would be much more handy.
Someone maybe talking about a forum topic? Bam, it's right there.
Need to search a random question while playing? Do it in game.
Watch a movie like a movie theater? Even cooler.
It would also be cool to have little personal screens for your house in game, there would be different sized bricks, all doing the same thing.

now you're thinking if this was a screen, which I don't know how well that would work.
If it was like a gui or something, that would make more sense.
