could game booster be the problem? Cause that stops any programs that could interfere. except for game booster itself.

Rofl.
Game booster doesn't even help anything except closing every other program you have open.
It might boost your game a little bit, but not a lot.
I suggest uninstalling game booster, cursor wise, and just for the hell of it.
