I know Borderlands has a superb reputation, but should I buy it? I'm mostly worried about the system requirements...I've already got two games I can't even play and I'd rather not have another one
I've got 3GB RAM, Pentium Dual-Core @2GHz, ATI Radeon HD 3400 (pretty stuffty I know, but it runs most things on low-mid)

Ram should be good, I dunno about the CPU. I had the ATI Radeon HD 3400 series when I played through on Borderlands and it ran okay.
My specs when I played it were:
4gb RAM, Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.93 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series. Ran mildy but definitely playable on those specs.

if borderlands runs borderline playable on a stuffty 8400GT then it should run on your specs fine
