No, but many VNC clients replace low ports like port 1 with 5900+n. So port 1 would be changed to 5901, etc.
Only thing is, I have attempted this before, I think on 10.04 and the server would crash after several hours. Perhaps it's because I was using the GNOME desktop environment, could that have caused the problems?
I tried to host on linux a few years ago.As far as i remember there was a problem with TCPobjects, or some other networking stuff?!? is that fixed?

Are you aware you could have just used Wine and then double clicked on the dedicated server icon? Wine actually runs Blockland very very well, u just cant have fullscreen.
