Why the hell would I need headphones, my speakers are plenty capable of allowing me to hear the detail in any music.

unless the speakers are right next to your ears, incorrect.

headphones create an enclosed environment within which sound is allowed to reverberate, and with little to no external noise. speakers permit external noise, and since they're much further away from your ears, the sound is diffused quite a lot before it actually reaches your ears.

i have half-broken headphones that seem to disable some parts of music (like drums or keyboard or vocals) and i just play random songs with them and this 1 sounds really cool lol

Which obviously means any speakers are obviously much less superior than any other pair of headphones?
