we dont have nice servers on blockland anymore. idiots running bad gamemmodes, to many addons that ruin games, no proper moderating, no proper hosting.
maybe we want a successful one for once. and are putting up an effort to keep it good.

I don't take offence to people supporting a server. What I take offence to is the badge (and how it is (planned to be) sold). I'm not sure if I misunderstood it, but my understanding is that after you pay you send the image to Wedge for approval, after which it's uploaded to the server. Now each donation (other than the monetary support) also harms the server by causing longer loading times.

This server seems to have nothing setting itself apart. It just seems like it's just (yet another) "slam together a few public add-ons, find a way to monetize, make the people on your server do all of the work" server. There's nothing setting it apart from the freebuilds any other person can host. Custom gamemodes are basically the only way to create a server that is not just vanilla with a little extra content that every other server also has slapped on top of it. If you want a vanilla server, host a vanilla server. This is nothing extraordinary.

you are concerned about the load times of a 16x16gif but you complain that vanilla servers suck? your solution then would be to join servers with 30min load times because you need more addons to have fun.
that dosnt solve your issue of downloading files quicker though

It was more about how it actually cannibalised the server. And no, most good servers don't have 30min load times.
