I got so laggy and was useless after like level 18.

I managed to be the last to die, and once I actually solo killed a Jabberwock.

Level 9 is rogue master, 10 is hero, 11 is warlord, and 12 is guild master I think. At least those are the next 4 levels after 8. 10 and 11 may be swapped.
