Server Has Timed Out

I'm hosting a server, and when people join, it loads half-way, and then they get a message that says "Serve rhas timed out." and disconnects.  How do I fix this?

Is it because I'm running a Ded. Server

This occurs when you start to lag and the players ping rises and rises to the point they are disconnected I think. Try taking away some addons etc
