I, myself have questioned myself many many times.
And I just rethought so here is what I think:
Science plays the biggest part in humanity but "god" takes and does other minor things. If anything I'm more atheist than religious to be honest.

You are using the god of the gaps theory. You are just using anything that science cannot explain as evidence for god. People did this when we didn't know where people came from, when science couldn't explain whether we were in the center of the universe, or even whether our planet is flat or not. You are not basing it on facts or logic but instead finding nice stories to feel good. There is plenty to ponder and wonder about that is legitimate and can be proven so. The entire cosmos should give you a feeling of purpose and life, not a fairy tale you came up with yourself.
