Alright guys this appears to be the way to fix "An error occurred while installing Source Filmmaker (Connection timeout)" Start to install SFM and when it starts loading and SFM says it's installing in your library click cancel in the loading bars window. Right click SFM and uninstall local content. (It should still say it's installing if you did the above step correctly.) Start the installer again and wait. You will need to download around 5.5GB's if you have TF2 already downloaded.
