Masterlegodude:

To my knowledge, you can't take a demo file and import it in SFM, everything has to be done in the SFM

Awdax:

Looks like I'll have to wait until full support is added for Left 4 Dead 2.

Can't you record things in-game with TF2 though and import it into SFM? I've seen people render gameplay videos of TF2 with SFM.

Masterlegodude:

They either A) Host a server via Hamachi B) Record themselves over and over again as different teams and classes with perfectly timed 'kill' or 'explode' commands when players die or C) Use Team Fortress 2's replay editor

Also, i'm not sure how well the thing works, but in the SFM's SDK, you can add an existing mod where you can then type in the name of the mod, but it's very confusing, i'm not sure how it works or if you can just take the stuff from the game's folder and it's GCF or VPK (pak01_dir) files and plop them into the folder

Freeze:

When I'm rendering a large video file uncompressed avi 720p the video file comes out corrupt (windows media player can't open it). Any ideas?

Masterlegodude:

Well i think Windows Media Player just sucks as it couldn't play my 720p AVI without lagging horribly :(
