Didn't see that one coming - moments

I was wandering around in the city, looking for guns and ammunition, when i see a Self Deleter. I threw my axe at it: Instakill! Normaly their corpse (well, pretty much just legs, spine and head) can be found where he blows up, but i didn't see the corpse. I eas terrified, because that axe was rare and powerful. About 45 seconds later i find the Self Deleter's legs sticking out of a wall, with my precious axe stuck in them.
