I remember when Minecraft was just a simple building game that was considered less cool than Infiniminer. Boy did that ever change. To put the popularity in perspective, I live in a town tucked away in the North Carolina mountains with less than 2,000 people. I went to the local Walmart one day and saw somebody with a creeper shirt. |

I talked with a couple admins on the IRC, they said that the release date was moved back to end of year instead of end of summer, however they did say that the deadline is starting to get progressively shorter with the amount of working going on currently. |
