A pedestal appears before you, snaking up through the black smokey water as it took a more detailed shape. It was unusual, yet familiar. And the object that rested on it you felt belonged to you. You felt unusually limited, and bland without it. It was more of an obligation rather than a curiosity to examine the atom like material. Should you pick it up?
