construct map from the matrix?

well, i just saw The Matrix, and they mentioned a white plain in which anything can be created. is the blockland map Construct from the movie the matrix? i might be wrong and it might be a coincidence but can someone tell me?

I'd doubt that construct was based on the matrix, it's just white.
