Well gems that spawn can only be picked up by you or those with build trust or greater. I'm speaking of reorganizing gems in your own inventory. Trading gems or items is also planed for the future.
aw man

oh well, direct trading is better any-way

Around 10-10:30 in Mountain time zone (GMT -7 I think)
It will be midnight for EST time zone... I am afraid I probably won't be able to get on.

Well, I could probably add a giving feature along with trading, if you wanna just hold some gems for a buddy, then give later.

I know, this is pretty late, but I wanted to get the alpha out as soon as I could, but I've got work until 9:30 p.m. where I live. Not much I can really do :/
On the plus side, this will be hosted early Tuesday morning and so on, as I don't have work the next 3 days.

Looks real neat. Can't wait to see it in action.

Also, kudos for being able to script with bricks like that. I've crashed/closed-in-frustration my blockland several times trying to get scripted brick placement to work.

It made us Chuck Norris as we put a brick inside another brick.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is that furniture created automatically by the script?

um, about the part where multiple people try mining the same block, what about the rewards that the block yields? do they all go to the one with the finishing hit, or split equally between people? because imo both options are bad, one because only one person gets the prize, and 100% of the time it's someone other than you. two, because if everyone goes for one block the reward has to be ludicrously high for the divided prize to be near decent, and if one man somehow gets it all for himself, he'll basically break the game.

IT IS OPEN

So I am creating a furniture system in which you purchase various furniture from vendors, then when you are in your base you can place it how you want it.

Okay, so not a ton of safeguards have been added, but here is what is currently in place. Whoever is the last person to mine the brick and spawn the gems, they are theirs. Players with build trust or higher can also pick them up.

I will later add the safeguard so only players with build trust or higher can mine the same brick as you. So for teaming up and mining, you are only going to want to tackle larger cavern bricks, as they will go quickly with a buddy, and yield how amounts of gems to generously split between those with trust.

will you have different types of furniture for sale?

Yes.

You should stick with the naming conventions and call it Client_Underground, not GUI_Underground.

Inventory system is broken as forget, it claimed I cheated repeatedly if I didn't check my inventory once on a while

Make sure people can only pick up 1 brick per second if you don't want inventory editing

Well, GUI actually is a previously used prefix, even if not as common as Client. Yet, you don't really see the name of the add-on, except on the add-ons folder. Does it make a big difference? I mean, I can rename it if it's an issue, just curious why.

So bugs pop up in alpha stages. It will be addressed and fixed when I next work on it. It was working for the majority of the players, it looks like something weird happened in your instance, we didn't host the first alpha stage with a completely broken inventory.

In other news, alpha server is now down, and it went well. We got some (many) bugs pointed out, great ideas were mentioned, and things were received fairly positively. Hopefully I can fix up those bugs and add some more features for tomorrow or the next couple days!

All in all, the alpha server today might have been a bit rushed, but it turned out alright, and I think hosting often will be a good strategy, as many bugs can pop up when you've got 8+ players doing things, as opposed to 1 or 2.
