It could make them afraid of their leader and ignore orders.

If you just throw fear fog at them you aren't going to be able to control what they are afraid of.
It works best if you combine the item you want they to be afraid of with the fear fog. (In this case, a Picture of Jocelyn)

throw fear fog at Jocelyn, in theory it would make everything afraid of it. You guys are already afraid so it wouldn't really affect you but it would still make the spiders afraid of her.

The spiders cant be afraid of her. They are manifested fear. They fear nothing. (except maybe tingles)

Wait do we have something reflective? If so we could combine it with the fear fog to create the opposite of fear which is BRAVERY then we could use the BRAVERY fog on us and defeat them all with BRAVERY.
