i surfed so far and wide today i ran into the mspa forums somehow, and then into this adventure there, and now it's totally freaking me out how much more sense it makes reading it over there instead of here since this thread starts with the milkshake adventure rather than whatever room you're in on the first page in the other forum

Not Magical, Alchemical or Psionic. You can feel it's energy field expanding and contracting. It's actually kind of creepy
