Author Topic: Colorset I'm working on, could use some color suggestions.  (Read 2755 times)

why not make each row to a certain colour at diffrent shades ?

Or you could autowrench rendering.

Lights don't show up on bricks that aren't registered as 'non-rendering'. I made the suggestion so that that way bricks could be invisible, but still emit light.

That last green is...too bright?
Last green shouldn't be neon
I was using up one of the 3 color slots I still had left.

Better transition between dark grey and black
I can use one of the slots for this though.

Looks great, use it on your server?

Not yet, I'd rather get it as perfect as possible first.

Completely revise the first 4 rows.  your standards row looks good: don't make a dark version of it, don't make a soft version of it, don't make a transparent version of it.

Make Soft, Bold and Transparent colors completely independently without thinking of the standard row.  When you just make them duplicates with different tints and shades of the first row, it makes your colorset way less useful and way more boring.

Make some bold colors that look good and are useful.  Anything with a lot of bright or deep colors.  Neons, darks, ect.

When thinking of Softs, you want to make a lot of good pastel colors.

When thinking of transparents you want to think of what you use transparent colors for most:  Liquids. Think of colors that you would use for various liquids.

I hope this has helped you, Even though nobody uses my color sets, I like to think that I know something about making them :P

I wish someone made a color set with each column dedicated to each color.

Every color known to man.

Can you also provide a dropbox or something with your colorset so we can test it too?
