For your benefit, stdout from the Blockland console can easily be piped to a TCP connection using the Python Twisted framework. Obviously it can be done different ways, but Twisted allows effortless async com. Stdin is not so easy as BL uses some weird windows stuff, so a Torque TCP server to accept console commands then eval them is needed. I doubt you'd need any help, but if you need it, feel free to shoot me a PM.

It's purely the game's fault that it crashes when it can't connect to the master server.

Perhaps moving to a better quality provider would fix these issues? I could probably point you in the right direction!
