Kalphiter's Dedicated Hosting Service is down.

Fortunately I saved before the I left for work.
I'm getting tired of server issues and downtime. I'm going to be testing my own vps over the next couple of weeks. It's only slightly more expensive then Kalphiter's service (and probably Lub's), I get to use 100% of the resources for my stuff instead of splitting them with 30 other blockland servers, I can manage my server with Dropbox instead of ftp, and I can run mumble servers on the side.
Dropbox is awesome because I can synchronize saves and mods between my client and server and make the saves directory public.
The only issue I have to figure out still is remote console. I think some people developed web base remote consoles in the past but I'm not sure. Using remote desktop to connect will be annoying though.
Don't know what to do with the remaining time I have on my old server lease if I switch. Maybe I'll use it as a test server.

Wedge is going to be doing his just for himself.
I'd honestly wait for Lub to get his started first, Wedge. You may end up liking his enough to save yourself the trouble. From what I understand, the way the remote console works is by editing the Blockland executable.

I've always wondered how kalphiter gets the remote console to output in real time, i was thinking maybe he programmed something to check for changes in the console.log file?

What save did you lose? I have your Duck Hunt backed up, but not your newer one.
