Minecraft fortified island

Hello Blockheads. I've recently created a fortified island within Minecraft. I've created everything I can think of that is useful and would like your input as to what I could add to make the quality of the map better. I plan to make this island self sustaining with wood, food and water.
Red- House(unfinished)
Lime Green- Center Fountain
Cyan-Trees
White- Nether Portal
Orange-Surrounding wall 4 high and two wide
Blue-Boat Dock
Yellow-Wheat Farm
The island is around a thousand blocks away from mainland.

Looks like you took your first Minecraft house and slapped it on an island.

I was really focused on creating everything else, so I just Worldedited some walls and a roof in the place for the house. Notice the "unfinished" part.
Those little black things in between the fence and the house are chests. My computer still experiences that bug :C.

you don't need to sustain water because it's not a necessity. Also, this was made in creative, not survival.

This was made 90% survival. I plan to tear down the house and rebuild making it 100% legit. I was flying to take the picture.
