Can someone explain it to me please?

smooths hard edges so they don't look so ugly

Anti-Aliasing is something where on rough edges where you can see the visible pixels on objects, it will smooth them out and make them look all pretty.

Ok thanks.

Is 4x good?

16x is the highest you can go, but it's highly CPU/GPU intensive, so don't use it if your computer can't handle it.

4x Anti Aliasing is fine, I set that for Blockland and it looks great! It looks like there's a smooth blur option from far away, Blockland looks really lovey even 2x anti aliasing, but go with 4x and higher if your GPU can handle it. (I would just stick with 4x)

32x is the highest you can go?
