Operating systems cache DNS queries, why reinvent the wheel? DNS has so many layers of redundancies making errors very rare, implementing address caching at the BL application level would be pointless.

This is something Badspot pays for?

How is this related? That's so old, The Planet turned into Softlayer ages ago. I doubt the domain is even in use anymore.

Lol stuff, just did a whois, oops.

In the case you didn't just notice, a portion (but note, not everyone) of people wasn't able to reach the forums. That obviously means OS caches didn't do the best job, so why would it do any better for servers?

Me no talk

Well, it takes 45-50 days for it to become available. Also, it appears they forgot to renew it in time last year?

See? Don't be so jumpy to prove me wrong.
I'm not aware of the situation, but it may be that they're done with the domain but Badspot is still using old name servers. No way I can tell if they forgot or are phasing it out.

Well there are definitely going to be a lot more people with problems when the cache exceeds it's TTL then, gosh.
Kalphiter:
My gosh, this happened exactly one year ago. What a stubborn host.

forget, there's a history of this: 2007
