try this game on for size, not all that scary but it's still a little horror tale, resembling blocky textures and such

amnesia and penumbra don't have jump scares you pusillanimous individual.

besides, penumbra is one of the most atmospheric and creepy series i've ever played. especially the first one, overture. the feeling of loneliness and no hope is haunting

When did Amnesia and Penumbra have jump scares? It's more atmosphere than scares.

Anna is a decent horror title. It creeps you out when you least expect it.

I'm leaning a little towards this. I've been hit by jump-scares a few times when I played them because random bullstuff likes to jump out and attack your face. It has some atmosphere-related parts, though.
