minecraft is a decent quality game made to be blocky but put on a bloated engine that uses different styles of models

You have to be willing to learn. It's quick to get started, but it takes a while before you can make anything decent.
You'll need Valve Hammer Editor 3, which is for the Half-Life 1 engine. You will also need the .fgd for Sven-Coop.

Thanks. I'll be learning. I hope the mod making community isnt completely gone. i know all the playermodels i've seen are from like 2004-2008
