Author Topic: Leaft 4 Dead 2 Weird Problem?  (Read 16334 times)

So yesterday, I got myself a TON of mods for L4D2. Here's a list of 'em:
Deathcraft II (Mc-themed map)
Deathcraft Zombies (Common & Uncommon infected)
Firestarter Charger (Includes Particles)
Lickers (Hunter & Smoker)
Joker Jockey
Minecrafter Survivors (Both sets)
Mcdonalds Map
MC Melee Weapons Pack
Special Infected Pack
MC Survival Map
Infected MC Sounds
Pac 4 Dead Map
Arena (Doesn't work?)
Special Spawner Map
Tank Hulk
Vinyl Scratch AK47 (I just like the color scheme)
Tumtara Mod Map

Now, I CAN get on a single-player game normally. BUT, when I try to do it again, it says something like this:
Error: Server is enforcing consistency for this file:
left4dead2/models/infected/[any special infected name (mostly boomette)]

So I have to restart the game to get back on to my single-player thing.

I DID look in left4dead2/models, and actually, the entire infected FOLDER was gone!

A download to the infected folder in the models directory would be great, because that might solve it.
I honestly don't know how it got removed, because it was working FINE before the mods came in.

I also think it might be the "deathcraft II" map, because playing on it changes everything to a minecrafty version: weapons are minecrafty, the survivors are, and so are all the infected- common, uncommon, and special. But I find that hard to believe, since the left4dead2/models/survivors folder still exists.

so again, a download to the infected models folder might help, please help!

All of Left 4 Dead 2's game content are not in the folders, they are in a .gcf that can't be opened normally.

Wait, am I supposed to set my game to those properties? fine by me.

Fixed your typing error.

Try right clicking Left 4 Dead 2, click Properties, click the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache Files and wait until it's done then try playing again

A game is not a config file. It's .gcf.
