Ya from your body sure, but I would assume what is left of your neck is going to be in severe pain.

As well as the fact that your brain is panicking wondering what happened to the heart, lungs, and as to why they seem unresponsive.

So even if your head is detached, you still have nerves up there that will be vomiting pain signals.

The American legal system is forgeted up in a way that makes a lawsuit a fight to win, not a fight for justice. Until the US adopts a Loser-Pays legal system, I have to say no to the death penalty.

I don't think there should be a death penalty. Sure, we don't know what happens after you die - but wouldn't it be better to put the individual into solitary confinement for life? Literally no contact with anyone for the rest of their life while they live in a small sound-proof closet, and they slowly lose their mind. Seems a lot worse than being put down.

Except usually people who murder others are already insane and wouldn't really care about solitary confinement

I have ancestors who were on this continent way before the Vikings and Columbus came. Sure they weren't a united people and fought amongst themselves. If a rule was broken, people were either killed or banished. However troublemakers were rare amongst the tribes because everyone knew they had to work together to live. If there was trouble caused it was from some other tribe, inwhich hostages were taken or a war broke out to settle the issue. You guys in Europe(this is Europe in general) would make executions a public event were you hang someone or chop their head off for stealing something like a bread crumb.
